Once upon a time there was a girl who went to Burkina Faso with the Peace Corps and after the completion of her term, went back to the States, fretted about jobs/adulthood/first-world problems until she ended up at the company formerly known as Random House in NYC where she worked diligently until her brain stopped functioning “normally” (speaking only of normal brain functions as opposed to mind ones) because of a giant lesion [moi] that was first called a diffuse brain tumor, which was pretty scary for her, but she has now lived long past that diagnosis and is not-so-patiently awaiting the true diagnosis or, more precisely, my demise.
For now, I’m still the one in charge.
